Katy Kunst received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her Master of Business Administration from Elon University. She has 15 years of experience serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their supporters, including roles as direct support professional, program director, and training facilitator. She has created and facilitated training on topics including non-violent crisis interventions, person-centered planning, cultural competence, quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and a variety of topics related to IDD services.
Instructor: Catherine Kluttz-Hile, BSN, MA, RN, CDDN
Ms. Kluttz-Hile has worked with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over forty years. She is the President of Kluttz Health Care Consulting, PC. She works with organizations that provide supports for people with IDD in North Carolina. Over her career she has supervised health services, staff training, and outreach departments in NC developmental centers; in the Division of Public Health as a Nurse Consultant/Program Manager in programs for people with special health care needs and the NC Infant-Toddler Program. In addition, she has worked with community-based IDD programs in quality improvement/program development. Ms. Kluttz-Hile is a Mentor Trainer for Person Centered Thinking through the Learning Community for Person Centered Thinking.
Ms. Kluttz-Hile is a member of the national Developmental Disabilities Nursing Association, where she holds a national certification in Developmental Disabilities Nursing.
